Description
Chow Chows are very independent and aloof, and they need an owner who appreciates those traits but won’t let the dog take over. Chows should be well socialized — introduced to new people, dogs, and situations beginning in early puppyhood — to ensure that they’re safe and relaxed as adults.
The Chow Chow is a dog breed originally from northern China. The Chow Chow is a sturdily built dog, square in profile, with a broad skull and small, triangular, erect ears with rounded tips. The breed is known for a very dense double coat that is either smooth or rough.
Height: 17 to 20 inches tall at the shoulder
